Early in November, we started off with a trip to California for the Missionary Communication Workshop. We were grateful to have such wonderful, godly people take the time to help train us on how to effectively communicate our call to Wales.
This November 27, Kevin was officially ordained at Cherry Street Baptist Church. His Uncle John Smith, who is retired after almost 40 years of pastoral work in Petal, Mississippi, was able to preach an encouraging charge. In addition, it was a special time when Kevin’s father, Ray Adams, led the questioning portion of the ordination processl. The council voted unanimously, to ordain Kevin to preach the gospel!
We are so blessed to be finishing our internship at Cherry Street Baptist Church in Springfield MO. Our time has been spent sharing our burden for the lost people in Wales while remaining faithful to the work of the ministry here. Kevin and fellow missionary Adam Cottrell were able to lead a young man to the Lord during outreach visitation. This young man is preparing to follow the Lord in believer’s baptism and start his discipleship plan at Cherry Street. Praise the Lord for His goodness!
Thanksgiving was a wonderful time as we were able to be with our extended family members to celebrate. It has been great having special time with them before we hit the road traveling full-time. Please continue to pray for us and for our families as we head out.
During the month of December we have been finalizing many details before leaving for deputation. There has been a lot of sickness in our household, so please pray we recover quickly. We also appreciate your prayers as we still feel the loss of Kevin’s mom during the holiday season.
Thank you for praying for us. We look forward to visiting many churches during this year and pray that God would get all the praise and glory from our deputation ministry. We are looking forward to getting to Wales as quickly as possible.
